Software Design Engineer in Test
- Applicants must be Filipino citizens residing in the Philippines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years web application testing experience and proven experience across the testing lifecycle.
- Proven ability to write formal test cases, using pertinent test techniques.
- Proven experience as a Software Development/Design Engineer in Test, specifically in conducting E2E testing for web applications.
- Proven experience in web-based applications and technologies.
- Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks, tools, and scripting languages (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Python).
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, including tools like Bitbucket, Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Experience with Management tools such as JIRA.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the ability to work in an Agile environment.
- User acceptance testing (UAT) experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to analyse complex systems and identify potential areas of improvement.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a passion for delivering high-quality software.
- Experience in Jmeter, Load Runner, and Locust.
- Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for comprehensive E2E testing of our web application.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and QA analysts, to define test requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Design and execute E2E test scenarios, covering all aspects of the application, from front-end UI interactions to back-end integrations.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring they are properly reported and resolved.
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis of issues to identify underlying problems and propose effective solutions.
- Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into the continuous integration and deployment pipeline.
- Monitor and analyse test results, providing clear and concise reports to stakeholders, including identified issues and recommendations for improvements.
- Continuously enhance and optimise the test automation framework and processes to improve efficiency and test coverage.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in test automation, applying them to drive quality improvements in our testing practices.
This is a full-time position following the 9 AM to 6 PM Manila schedule.
